Fellow Conservatives get into heated discussion on gay marriage

Fox News anchor Bill O’Reilly and fellow Conservative (and Fox News collaborator) Laura Ingraham got into a rather heated exchange the other day over his earlier comment about how those opposing gay marriage had to do more than just “thump the Bible.”

Check it out in the video above.

Ingraham was merely trying to tell O’Reilly that she thought the phrase “thump the Bible” was offensive to believers because she considered it a slur.

At the same time, she tried to argue that it’s offensive to dismiss whatever Social Conservatives say on the issue of gay marriage as Bible “thumping.”

He obviously did not see it that way, and explained his use of the phrase as the only way to get a message across.

“There are Bible thumpers, and all they do is say, ‘I object to gay marriage because God objects to it.’ You don't win a policy debate in America with that,” he told Ingraham, interrupting her several times and talking down to her.
