"The Wow starts now" is the slogan under which Microsoft is marketing Windows Vista. And Vista users now have a personal invitation from Microsoft's Chairman and co-founder Bill Gates to share their Wow. Here is the complete letter published on the Windows Vista official website and signed Biil Gates:

"In 1974, when I was an 18-year-old college freshman at Harvard, my friend Paul Allen showed me an article in Electronics magazine announcing the new 8080 microprocessor from a young company called Intel. That was a "Wow" moment for both of us because we knew this chip signaled the beginning of a new era where affordable, general-purpose personal computers running powerful software would change the world-and we wanted to be a part of that.

In the decades since, I've experienced many other wow moments: the birth of each one of my children, and learning that my friend and mentor Warren Buffet would donate most of his wealth to the Gates foundation to help further our work to reduce poverty, improve healthcare, and expand educational opportunities.

What's a "wow moment"? It's that instant when you recognize that your life has changed-the moment you transform an idea that you once only dreamed of pursuing into something you have actually achieved.

Today, we're on the threshold of a new era. Amazing technology innovations are unleashing new ways for people to express their ideas, explore their passions, and share their wow moments with the people they care about. It will be an era filled with many wow moments as we discover new ways to nourish our sense of community, foster our creativity, and increase our sense of connectedness.

As we prepare to launch Windows Vista on January 30, I'd like to invite you to share your wow moments with us. While you explore this Web site to learn more about Windows Vista, please help us celebrate the dawn of a new era by taking a few moments to share some of the wow moments you've already experienced.

I look forward to learning about your life-changing moments. And I'm excited about the new generation of wow moments to come."

According to Microsoft, Wow is "an instinctive reaction. When you experience the amazing, the incredible, the exhilarating. And when you do, there is only one way to express it: Wow."

The "Show us your Wow" website features an array of elements out of the Windows Vista operating system. Microsoft has designed the website to showcase art, music, photos and videos that are the creation of both common PC users and worldwide celebrities. Additionally, the Redmond Company invites users to PLAY "WOW," WIN "WOW," enabling users to participate with their personal digital Wow into a global web-based competition.
