Bill Gates, Microsoft co-founder and chairman, joined Reddit for an AMA session and to answer a few questions not only regarding Microsoft’s products, but also about his charity activities.

Questioned about the operating system he likes the most, Gates unsurprisingly picked Windows 8, Microsoft’s latest Windows contraption that’s still struggling to excite.

“Windows 7 or Windows 8? Be honest Bill,” one user asked. “Higher is better,” Gates quickly replied, clearly indicating that Windows 8 is a much better choice.

In addition, Microsoft’s chairman confirmed that he was using a Surface Pro, the company’s newest tablet that went on sale on Saturday.

“I just got my Surface Pro a week ago and it is very nice. I am using a Perceptive Pixel display right now – huge Windows 8 touch whiteboard. These will come down in price over time and be pervasive,” he said.
