Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates has recently become the world’s richest man, overtaking Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim who has topped the rankings for almost one year.

But according to a report by BizJournal, it seems like Slim has almost no chances to reclaim the leading position, as Bill Gates has added more than $5 billion (€3.8 billion) between him and the second spot.

At this point, Gates has a net worth of $72.9 billion (€56.5 billion), while Slim’s has dropped to $67.8 billion (€52.3 billion).

Warren Buffet is still third in Bloomberg’s rankings, while Sergey Brin, director and co-founder of Google, has reached position number 22 with a net worth of $25.4 billion (€19.6 billion).

Larry Page, co-founder and chief executive of the search company, has been ranked the 19th in the top with $25.7 billion (€19.9 billion).
