If you thought that being Bill Gates is quite an easy job given the fact that he has so much money, you were probably wrong. People tend to challenge Gates in all kinds of things, starting with video games and ending with speed chess games against world champions.

Microsoft’s co-founder and the second richest man in the entire world was checkmated by Norwegian world chess champion Magnus Carlsen in only nine moves in a video show aired in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden, according to Reuters.

Carlsen made all his moves in only 30 seconds, while Bill Gates needed 2 minutes to think on his moves before eventually getting checkmated in approximately 1 minute and 20 seconds of play.

While no BSOD popped out to save Gates from this awkward moment, Microsoft’s co-founder said from the very beginning that such a game has a predetermined outcome, so it’s probably a really impressive thing that the game actually lasted more than one minute.
