Officials have provided more details about the Range Rover driver attacked by motorcyclists in New York City on Sunday.

The New York Daily News describes Alexian Lien, of lower Manhattan, as a wealthy man and a Columbia university graduate. He is the manager of e-commerce startup Skrill.com.

Alexian and his wife, Rosalyn, were celebrating their first wedding anniversary that day. Their 2-year-old was in the car with them when he was chased by 30 bikers, dragged out, and beaten. He was left bloodied, face-down in the street until police arrived.

He was then transported to Columbia University Medical Center where he got stitches, and he is now in stable condition.

However, while trying to escape the group after hitting one biker, he ran over a second one. 26-year-old Jeremiah Mieses was left paralyzed after the SUV biker attack, and he is in a medically induced coma with critical internal injuries.
