Did Rachel go too far in her attempt to get back to a healthy weight?

The winner of season 15 of NBC’s The Biggest Loser is Rachel Frederickson who, having lost 59.6 percent of her starting weight on the show, also became the first contestant with such a high margin ever in the history of the series.

However, viewers are asking, did she take it too far?

Embedded below is a video of the exact moment when Rachel stepped out for her big weight loss reveal. Going from 260 pounds (117.9 kg), which is how much she weighed when she entered the competition, to 105 pounds (47.6 kg), her weight on the final weigh-in, the difference was supposed to be drastic.

However, as you can see, not even trainers Bob and Jillian expected it to be this drastic. In fact, if you look closely at Jillian, you can see her mouthing “Oh my God” two separate times, which probably means she doesn’t think Rachel’s weight loss is all that amazing.

As the video report below also notes, right after Rachel stepped in, Twitter exploded with comments saying that she traded one unhealthy lifestyle for another, because her current weight loss isn’t healthy either.

Some even say that NBC needs to take a stand of some sort and, if possible, issue a statement on Rachel’s weight. That is to say, they expect a denial of rumors that she’s developed an eating disorder, which is why she’s so skinny today.

Check out the video and drop me a line in the comments section with your two cents. Do you think Rachel took losing weight too far or are you of the opinion there is absolutely nothing wrong with her current weight?
