World's biggest rabbit is called Darius and is from Worcester, England. The 5-year-old bunny weighs 49 pounds (22.2 kg), and measures 4ft 4in (132 cm), which is about the same size as a five-year-old child.

The mammoth has been recognized as the world’s biggest bunny by Guinness, and holds the title since 2010, when he was just 13 months old. And even though Darius doesn’t carry colored eggs, candies or toys in a basket, he would definitely make for a perfect Easter bunny.

According to his owner, Annette Edwards, Darius comes from a family of big bunnies, as he is the son of the previous world record holder, Alice.

If you wonder how this cute Continental Giant has become the world's biggest bunny, find out that he devours about 12 carrots a day, as well as a pile of cabbage, apples and two large bowls of rabbit mix, which means that Annette spends approximately £2,500 ($4,200 or €3,000) a year in food.

“I let him eat as much as hay as he likes, on top of his food, but he always wants more. He has a great personality and so I can’t be too angry when he is trying to sneak more food,” his owner says, according to Daily Mail.

Originally bred for their meat and fur, Continental Giant rabbits are friendly and intelligent, and if they are well cared for can live up to four or five years.

The previous Guinness world record for the Biggest Rabbit was set by Ralph the Rabbit who tipped the scales at 42 pounds (19.05 kg).
