SEGA has changed the main official Japanese website for the Yakuza series and is now showing construction workers a recapitulation of the events of the first four core games in the series, with a promise that more information will be offered on May 24.

The publisher has revealed that it was working on Yakuza 5 in November of 2011, but it has not offered any sort of information on what the game will offer.

Famitsu then suggested that the player will be able to visit cities like Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka.

It also seems that players will be able to explore the story of more than one character, as they did in the fourth game in the series and in the Dead Souls spin-off.

The fact that just the Japanese website of the game is being updated probably means that Western gamers will still have to wait at least six months before getting access to the game.

The game will probably launch at some point during 2013.
