Or, how it feels to be Toto the Alien

Gamevil is one of the biggest global mobile games publishers, with headquarters both in Los Angeles and in Seoul (Korea). Today, they've made the big announcement that informs us that the company is launching the Big Trouble on Little Earth game.

Now that we know the game is out, you can take your mobile phone and start training to take over Earth with a single thumb, because the game requires one button to play.

The story evolves around Toto, a quirky alien that invades planet Earth. The player must put himself to the test. Good timing and reflexes will come in handy, when playing the five mini-games that include one unlockable game, too. But the surprises won't end up here. There is also a customizing part to all this, as the player is allowed to change the look of its spaceship by using different items that can be purchased from the game.

But still, after all this stuff, there is still something that makes this game unique: the Challenge SMS feature. Don't know exactly how this works? Well, it's quite simple: after a user archives a high score playing a mini-game, he will be asked if he would like to send a challenge to his friends, via the mobile phone.

In the notification sent to a player, there will be data regarding the high score of the sender and the mini-game in which the score was acquired. Also, the SMS will include a link from which one can download the mini-game, in case the challenged user doesn't have it. Of course, an Accept or Reject option is added, in case the player doesn't want to compete in any game.

The challenge can take place between more than two players. This way, you and your group of friends, can all send and accept challenges as well as compete in them.

"Social networking has become a huge phenomenon in our society today, especially with on-line gaming and websites such as MySpace. Gamevil applied that concept to Big Trouble On Little Earth with the Challenge SMS feature, creating a socially interactive and entertaining game, and establishing it as the next generation of mobile gaming", said Stephanie Huang, Marketing Manager at Gamevil USA.
