Blending a Windows PC with an Xbox console might be a tad unorthodox, but it appears that the two go hand in hand marvelously.

ORIGIN has put together a power gaming offering dubbed Big O, by matching together a Windows 7 computer and an Xbox 360 in a handmade custom chassis.

The system builder attended the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas the past week, and Microsoft’s Ben Rudolph made sure to shoot a video featuring ORIGIN Founder and CEO Kevin Wasielewski.

Users can watch the video embedded at the bottom of the screen in order to get an idea of what the Big O is all about.

At the same time, Wasielewski also talks a bit about the company’s upcoming products as well as future plans.

“If you haven’t heard of them, ORIGIN makes some of the world’s most powerful gaming PCs, all custom designed & hand-built.

“My first experience with ORIGIN came when I picked up the massive, blow-you-out-of-your-socks-fast EON 18 gaming laptop, but what really sold me on ORIGIN as a company to watch was when I got my hands on the Big O, ORIGIN’s liquid cooled gaming rig/Xbox hybrid.

“It was a hit at our Holiday PC Showcase events, and put ORIGIN at the top of my list for craziest system builder,” Rudolph explained.

What’s interesting is that the Big O is in no way limited to a gaming audience. Surely enough, gamers are its main marketing target, but at the same time, the Windows 7 PC and Xbox 360 hybrid packs a lot of computing power.

Under the hood, ORIGIN’s Big O offer’s and Intel Core i7 950 overclocked to 3.8 - 4.2GHz, 6GB Kingston HyperX Memory 1600Mhz, Dual NVIDIA GTX 580 in SLI, storage that can go as high as 2TB WD Caviar, etc.

In this regard, it’s no wonder that engineers looking for top performance are also interested in the Big O.
