The eighth edition of the iTunes Festival brings some of the biggest names of the musical scene to London. Apple announced the lineup for September's music event.

The artists list is opened by Maroon 5. Other celebrities like Pharrell Williams, Beck, Sam Smith, Blondie, Kylie, David Guetta, 5 Seconds of Summer, Calvin Harris and Chrissie Hynde will join the 30-day celebration.

iTunes Festival is returning to London for the eighth year in a row after the week of live performances back in March at SXSW. This fall's music event will feature over 60 acts, for a full month, at the legendary Roundhouse.

Apple users have the opportunity to watch the performances live or on-demand right on their iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. If you have a computer with iTunes or an Apple TV, you get a chance to see the show in HD. Moreover, the tickets are completely free and they will be given away by Apple and their U.K.-based media partners.

“The iTunes Festival in London is back with another stunning line-up of world class performers and tremendous new acts,” said Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services. “These live shows capture the heart and soul of iTunes and we love bringing them to our customers in the Roundhouse, as well as to the millions of people watching all over the world for free.”

To get your ticket, you can enter ballots on iTunes and other media outlets like Global Radio and the London Evening Standard. Apple mentions in their PR release that the London Institute for Contemporary Arts was inaugurated back in 2007, and since then, over 430 artists have performed in front of 430,000 fans and tens of millions more online and on-demand.

The iTunes Festival has been there for eight years and Apple has brought to the stage the world's largest artists, including Adele, Coldplay, Elton John, Foo Fighters, Justin Timberlake, Kings of Leon, Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Muse, Sir Paul McCartney and many, many more.

News about the Festival can be found by following @iTunesfestival and #iTunesfestival on Twitter and by going to www.iTunesFestival.com.

Apple has already created an iTunes page where you can listen to the most recent singles or albums from the artists that will join the Festival. You can also purchase live performances from previous editions of the same event.

Among those, you can see Foo Fighters' show from 2011, Adele or Coldplay from the same year, P!nk, Usher and Ed Sheeran from 2012, and some old performances by Paul McCartney or Oasis.
