Leading developer and distributor of casual games Big Fish Games has received fifteen nominations for the first annual Zeebys Casual Games Awards for
games developed or published by Big Fish Games. Included in these fifteen nominations are three nominations for the coveted Best Casual Game of the Year award, for Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects, Mystery Case Files: Ravenhearst and Virtual Villagers. The Zeebys People's Choice Awards and Industry Craft Awards are presented jointly by GameZebo and the Casual Games Association.

Big Fish Games' nominated titles include titles like puzzle game Mystery Case Files: Prime Suspects and strategy & simulation game Virtual Villagers. All the game categories found under the label of Big Fish Games are: puzzle, mahjong, action & arcade, card & board, word games, mac games and kids games.

Patrick Wylie, vice president of Big Fish Games Studio said: "It is an honor to receive this many nominations. These awards are especially meaningful for us as they are selected by our customers and peers within the casual games industry. These nominations reinforce our commitment to deliver innovative and entertaining casual games to our customers. Fifteen nominations is truly a compliment considering that there are several hundred talented and creative individuals and companies producing great games for this growing industry."

There are two types of Zeebys awards: The People's Choice Awards representing the best casual games of 2006 as voted by the people who play the games, and the Industry Craft Awards that recognize excellence in game design as voted by members of the Casual Games Association.
