David Cage, leader of the Quantic Dream team, says that his upcoming Beyond: Two Souls is about one month away from beta stage and that most of the game mechanics are now starting to take full shape.

The developer tells Gamekult that, “the step between the beta and the final game is very important, it's really at this moment that the game emerges, finds its identity, and is being tuned.”

Cage says that, at the moment, his team is working 15 hours a day in order to reach the beta goal.

It’s unclear whether Quantic Dream and Sony plan to offer a public beta for Beyond: Two Souls or whether the game will only be tested behind closed doors.

The emotion-driven experience is expected to arrive on the PlayStation 3 on October 8.
