There are 5 to 10 seconds that are different between the US and EU version

It seems that no gamers will be able to buy a completely uncut version of the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls from developer Quantic Dream and publisher Sony, as ratings boards in both the United States and Europe have asked for certain content to be eliminated.

Apparently, the US version of the game has been edited in order to eliminate some brief nudity which could have been problematic.

At the same time, the EU version has 5 to 10 seconds of gameplay that has been edited slightly, apparently because of excessive violence.

On the official PlayStation Blog, a developer states, “For Beyond we wanted to make the game available to as many people as possible, hence applying for a PEGI 16 rating. The 5-10 seconds I mention above would have upped our rating to a PEGI 18, so it made perfect sense to make these two very minimal changes to get our planned 16 rating.”

The game will be launched exclusively on the PlayStation 3 on October 8.
