Her workout trainer reveals some of the singer's secrets

Most of the world was in awe of Beyonce's slim figure when she performed on stage at the 2014 Grammys with her husband Jay Z. Now, her trainer speaks out what kind of diet she followed to get in such great shape.

It has been previously stated in the media that the “Drunk in Love” singer was going through a 22-day vegan diet with her supporting husband, leading up to Christmas but it now looks that she's decided to stick with it as Marco Borges, her personal trainer reveals that she's on a “mostly plant-based” diet at the moment.

He spoke with E! Online and said that “She is all about health and wellness. She just wants to feel good. The transition [from vegan] was fairly easy because [now] she's sticking to a mostly plant-based diet with some fish here and there.”

The long-term benefits of fruit and veggies have been praised by all doctors, but apart from being good for you, they also give you a head-turning figure, it turns out.

And even if she sneaks a piece of meat here and there, it's mostly fish. It looks that even Jay, who's gone back to eating meat, is supporting her lifestyle by hitting the gym with his singer wife.

We all know that the couple who works out together stays together, and that's exactly what Beyonce and Jay are doing at the moment. According to Marco, “They're like every other couple, they love spending time together, they'll work out together whenever its possible, whenever their touring schedules allow. They'll absolutely jump in the gym whenever they can, she'll be running and he'll be on a bike, or she'll be jumping rope and he'll be running.”

Having a work-out partner is always very nice, and when that workout partner happens to be your life partner, it's twice as fun.

Her workout regimen is made up of “body-weight squats, lunges and plies, along with plyometric exercises and sprint intervals.”

Funnily enough, Marco reveals that the couple put together some of the best workout playlists while they're at the gym and, even better than that, Beyonce also sings along if her own tracks come on the stereo.

While most of us would be out of breath just by running or cycling, it looks that Beyonce is used to singing and dancing out on stage that she can still belt out a couple of notes in the middle of her workout.

As for their musical preferences, Marco dishes out, “They listen to everything. Jay really feels that music shouldn't have genres, it's either good or bad. They have great playlists, if they were DJ's they'd get paid millions. If one of her songs comes on she'll sing along.”
