According to late news, it seems that Beyonce had her skin lightened during a photo shoot for the cover of the fashion bible Vanity Fair.
Radar magazine has published an article which mocks the Vanity Fair magazine for their needs to make the singer's skin to look "less black". But the Vanity Fair bosses denied the allegations, calling them outrageous.
The magazine's publicist, Yvette Noel-Schure, says: "There are very fair-skinned black people in the world and Beyonce is one of them."
Beyoncé Giselle Knowles, born September 4, 1981, an American R&B, pop singer and actress. She was one of the founding members, lead singer, chief songwriter and producer with Destiny's Child. In a Universal Music poll conducted in 2004, Beyoncé beat Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera to be crowned the "Princess of Pop".
Knowles is usually referred to by her first name only, Beyoncé, which is now her stage name, but has come to be called Beyoncé Knowles by many in the media.
Her debut solo album, 2003's "Dangerously in Love", topped the R&B and Pop charts in America, as well as the main album charts in Canada and the UK. Beyoncé has won eight Grammy Awards - five for her solo work, and three as a member of Destiny's Child.
Beyoncé is currently dating the CEO and President of Def Jam Recordings, rapper Jay-Z.
