Fans playing the guessing game on social media as to the nature of the surprise Beyonce had prepared for them can stop right now: the big announcement she teased for ABC’s Good Morning America is an interview about her vegan diet.

It’s true, this is the first time that she goes on TV to talk about it, but it still feels a bit underwhelming, especially since fans were expecting something bigger.

Plant-based diet from Marco Borges

Beyonce has lost a lot of weight recently and she’s managed to keep it off as well. She was never overweight to begin with, but she was always on some kind of diet and cleanse, trying to shake off the extra pounds.

A short while ago, Marco Borges, the creator of the 22-Day Revolution, a diet plan that proposes going vegan for 3 weeks, came out with a book, also called that. In the foreword, Beyonce explained how Borges’ plan changed her life for the better and how easily she found it to stick on the diet after those 22 days.

The idea for it is that it takes 21 days to break an old habit or form a new one, so whoever tries turning vegan will find that, on the 22nd day, they will want to not switch back to their previous routines.

Beyonce swears this is what happened to her and husband Jay Z, as they first went on the plan as a challenge, to see if they could make it to the end.

She wants to share her knowledge now with the rest of the world, she tells GMA in a pre-taped message. You can see the “big announcement” in the video below.

A healthy option with long-lasting results

Beyonce also says that, though proud of her curves, she was always struggling with diets, one more frustrating than the other because she was depriving herself.

This new plan is healthy and has long-lasting results because not only does it guarantee you weight loss, but it also ensures that the pounds stay off at the end. That is, of course, assuming you’re so pleased with your new life that you wouldn’t want to switch back to a carnivore diet.

Plus, Queen Bey says, you will get more benefits than just weight loss. For instance, she noticed that her skin had improved, in that it was more glowing and firmer.

We’ll see if the BeyHive is convinced. Many of the fans were hoping for an album or pregnancy announcement, even saying that they didn’t want to hear more about her diet or her dealings with Tidal, Jay’s music streaming service.
