14 DAY TRIAL // One has just gotten married and is living marital bliss at the moment, while the other is on the verge of divorce after many years she has projected the image of the perfect marriage and family life. One is Kim Kardashian, still gushing after her new hubby Kanye West, and the other is Beyonce, crying her way through concerts with Jay Z and changing the song lyrics to mirror a sad reality.
Is there really any wonder that these two can't stand each other and have started feuding discreetly since that May wedding incident? Kim and Beyonce were never really friends, they were just placed together by circumstances. Kanye and Jay Z, their partners, were good friends, so they in turn became friends as well.
But it all came to an abrupt halt when Beyonce and Jay Z failed to show up for Kanye's wedding to Kim. The reasons were speculated by the tabloids over and over. It's really not that difficult to understand why Beyonce and Jay Z, regarded as “hip-hop royalty” and who are also very protective of their intimacy, didn't want to appear at the wedding that was rumored to be televised, recorded and broadcast all over the Internet.
Beyonce and her rapper husband resorted to just sending their best wishes along with a very lavish gift and chose to stay home. Ever since then, Kim has been throwing arrows of hate in their general direction, generating diss after diss.
The latest was a social media post that alluded to Kanye being the one to invent the ski masks on stage performance. Bey and Jay are currently using that same outfit on their “On the Run” tour, but Kim was careful to point out that Kanye did it first.
Beyonce did not cater a reply to this jibe or any of the others for that matter. And it's easy to understand why: whereas Kim is very public in everything she does, right down to recording her trips to the bathroom, Beyonce is the exact the opposite, very private and very low key in everything she does.
That's why the entire world went crazy when a leaked video surfaced showing her sister Solange lashing out violently at her husband Jay Z, in a New York elevator, while she stood idly by and watched. The family has never really recovered from that PR blow.
Now, there are daily reports that Beyonce will be divorcing from Jay Z as soon as their joint tour is over. Jay Z simply can't shake the rumors that he's been cheating on Beyonce for years with numerous ladies, even some big names from the industry.
A recent report indicated that Jay z was indeed at fault but also Beyonce enjoyed her occasional “guilty pleasure.” The report also hinted that Beyonce and Jay Z were never really in love, but got married because it was in both their best interests commercially.
Maybe that's why Beyonce can't really stand Kim Kardashian: the singer worked really hard to get to where she is, training from an early age to become the star she dreamed of being, while Kim had everything handed to her.
The same report that spoke of Beyonce's infidelities, also mentioned that she refused to attend Kim's wedding because she didn't want to be used by the reality star to climb the social ladder. Bey realized that attending such an event would only give Kim a boost in her already inflated image and decided that she wasn't going to allow it.
Kim and her family clan were left rather red-faced because their touted nuptials, that took place in Europe and had a very expensive bill at the end, turned out to be a pretty D-list event. None of the A-listers they invited showed up, probably because of the same reasons Beyonce chose to watch the whole thing from home.
Whatever her reasons, Beyonce only managed to anger Kim, who is now looking to get a rise out of the singer with her petty jibes, but Beyonce can't be bothered. She probably knows that responding to these attacks would only empower the talentless Kim, who has a lot more experience with scandals and rules over a legion of faithful Internet followers who can throw mud, just as well as their idol, at anyone she commands them to.
The winner has yet to be determined but it's going to be really hard, since one of them is interested in this battle of the egos, while the other is busy with sorting much more important issues in her personal life.
