Beyonce Knowles was very proud of the way she managed to lose 20 pounds for the part of Deena Jones in 'Dreamgirls' and she had every reason to be so. At the time, the singer admitted that losing weight was not something the movie producers asked her to do, but rather a move on her own, meant to make her character more believable.
'I actually gained a little bit, but then I lost 20 pounds - when I went from young Deena to old Deena. I wanted it to be something more than just make-up and hair. I wanted to see the change', she said in an interview. Initially, Beyonce said that her diet consisted only of cereals (like, eating breakfast all day) but then changed her mind and confessed that getting rid of her curves was hard to do.
Basically, the magic diet that made her so skinny implied surviving on nothing more than maple syrup mixed with water, lemon juice and cayenne pepper. Even if it was that hard to lose so many pounds in just a couple of months, Beyonce is not even thinking of remaining this way. She wants her junk back in the trunk and she plans to do that over this holiday season.
'People are obsessed with skinny girls at the moment. I'm going to be eating for America over Christmas to get some more junk in my trunk. So raise a glass and toast for me, people', the soon to be again bootylicious singer told Britain's 'Daily Star' newspaper.
Plus, she is enjoying every moment of this period in which she is allowed to eat anything her heart desires, maybe because she knows that it can't last forever. 'OK, I lost a lot of weight for "Dreamgirls". But I sure am enjoying putting it all back on', she explained.
