After kicking off the 2014 Grammy Awards with an incendiary and, according to some, too explicit for TV performance of “Drunk in Love,” ft. hubby Jay Z, Beyonce continues to surprise. She and Jay performed at the most expensive Super Bowl party ever.

The scene was the DirecTV Super Bowl concert at Pier 40 in New York City held over the weekend, ahead of Sunday’s big game, the Super Bowl XLVIII.

Page Six reports that it was one of the most exclusive and priciest parties ever thrown on the occasion. Jay Z was just one of the performers booked for the night but he was the only one to get a surprise cameo from “Queen B,” Beyonce.

Attached to this article is a photo from their surprise performance – of Beyonce’s “Drunk in Love” – with the diva looking absolutely flawless in a see-through, body-hugging black dress, while Jay kept it totally casual in jeans and a hoodie.

We don’t have video of the performance in full yet, but the one embedded below, of footage from the show from various angles, should be enough for the moment.

However, *please note that discretion is recommended when viewing it because it contains language that might offend.

“The crowd — which included Leonardo DiCaprio, Paul McCartney and Jamie Foxx — went wild when Bey joined him onstage to perform ‘Drunk in Love’. Showbiz insiders tell Page Six the power couple and DJ Tiesto collectively commanded more than $2 million [€1.48 million] for the show, which happened in a specially constructed 88,000-square-foot stadium at Pier 40 on Manhattan’s West Side,” Page Six writes.

“The VIP guests in the heated stadium tent, which took weeks to construct, were treated to a top-shelf open bar and dinner amid a massive security operation. The enormous cost of the event was offset by sponsorship from Mark Cuban’s Axs TV and Bank of America,” the report adds.

As was to be expected with such an exclusive bash, there were countless celebrities in attendance, including Macklemore, Spike Lee, Jenna Bush, Tom Arnold, Hayden Panettiere, Lindsay Vonn, and Kate Upton.
