14 DAY TRIAL // The other day, word got out online that Jay Z was so tired of the divorce rumors making the rounds for the past couple of months that he couldn’t wait for his and Beyonce’s current joint tour, On the Run, to be over so they could announce their separation. Anything was better than keeping up appearances the way they were, an insider revealed.
As it turns out, Jay is actually the one still trying to find ways to solve the marriage crisis, another insider tells the Daily Mail. Beyonce, on the other hand, wants out and has given up all hope.
While the duo continue to stay mum on the topic, the consensus online is that they have been having problems for years, most likely because of Jay’s unfaithfulness. Things really took a turn for the worse in May, when Beyonce found out the exact extent of his affairs and her sister Solange physically attacked him in an elevator.
Probably at around the same time, the diva decided that she wanted a divorce, but she kept up appearances and continued to sell this image of the perfect family because doing otherwise would have meant losing a considerable chunk of revenue from the tour.
With the “deadline” for the official demise of their marriage set for the end of the tour, Jay Z is hoping a few days’ worth of alone-time could still help make things right between them. They are currently on vacation.
“Jay wants to save the marriage, they have their final US tour date in San Francisco on August 6 and then they have two dates in Paris from September 12 – that's it,” says the tipster.
Knowing that “that’s it” has made him desperate to save the relationship.
“He adores his daughter Blue Ivy and he wants a sibling for her, but Beyonce isn't sure what she wants to do – their marriage is in flux, that's the truth. Jay just wants them to spend some time alone together to try and work it out,” the spy continues.
Deep down inside, it could be that the rapper also fears losing too much money after the divorce. Both he and Beyonce are tremendously successful as solo artists, but they are unstoppable when they’re together. Their sold out On the Run Tour is proof of that.
“It's not just throwing away a marriage – it's throwing away a brand. But it may be that Bey has just had enough. She has some trust issues with Jay,” the same unnamed tipster reveals.
Officially, there is no trouble in paradise for these two superstars. A quick glance at Beyonce’s Instagram feed reveals no sign of a rift, let alone hints at the impending doom. Depending on who you believe, this is either a marketing strategy done brilliantly or, you know, whatever confirmation you need that the tabloid rumors are just that. Rumors.
