The latest movie starring Beyonce Knowles may be the reason for which she, as a singer, has been getting so many negative feed-backs from her fans. Because, according to the many people who have seen screening of the 'Dreamgirls' movie, the artist focused all he energy in this project, a thing that can be easily seen on the screen.
The star-studded musical, a remake of the classic Broadway musical retelling the story of a girls-group from the early 1960s, is absolutely brilliant thus far. Even Eddy Murphy who, at one point, seemed to have his entire career confined to children's comedies and rather poor films, is said to be exceptional.
But Beyonce is the one that really manages to shine throughout the entire movie. She and her on-screen pair, Jamie Foxx, who already has a lot of experience in musicals, with his Oscar-winning 'Ray'.
But 'Dreamgirls' is not just an average predictable musical. Just as its tagline goes, 'Dreams live forever', it's about life in general, about passion, love and the things you have to sacrifice so that your dreams may eventually come true.
The Bill Condon-directed project, which is more than likely to become the movie of the year, will be released in December 2006 so, make sure you don't miss it!
