She’s known as one of the hardest working women in showbiz but, for a change, Beyonce admits she’s ready to slow down and finally focus on her family. In a brand new interview with InStyle magazine, the singer opens up about her hectic schedule and her plans of having a baby soon. Beyonce has never said she doesn’t want to have babies with husband Jay Z, but she always explained not having any by wanting to wait a while longer because she was too focused on her career, therefore the timing was not right.
Now, in her latest interview, she admits that she’s at a point in her career where she can afford to slow down and
start a family.
“I sacrificed so much as a kid and as a teenager. I have no regrets because my job kept me focused. When you’re young – 18 or 19 – you have the energy and drive. That’s the time to work as hard as you can,” Beyonce says of how she became the industry’s hardest working artist.
“Now I’m a woman, and because I gave it my all, I can focus on my marriage. I can decide I want to have kids. I can be the mother I want to be and dedicate myself to my children. I want to make my job a part of my lifestyle so that I always enjoy what I’m doing,” she adds.
Granted, these past couple of years saw Beyonce slow down pace a bit, and she says it was all because she realized she was sacrificing too much for her career.
“It was difficult. I had to turn down great things, but I did it for my sanity, my life, my relationships, my nephew, my husband, my sister, and my friendships. I deserved to give myself time to focus on things besides performing, filming, and recording,” the star explains.
In the same interview, Beyonce also reveals some little known facts about herself: “Jersey Shore” is her guilty pleasure, she loves to chill at home in front of the TV, and she is quite a girl’s girl because women who have no girlfriends “scare” her.
