The British festivities, Music of Black Origins Awards, have announced the nominations for each category and Beyonce Knowles is this year's favorite contender. She was nominated for 'Best Song' and 'Best Video', with 'Deja Vu' and also included in the category of 'Best R&B Act' and 'Best International Female Artist'.
The competition is pretty tight for the latter nomination, as she is to go up against Nelly Furtado and Mary J Blige. Also competing for the distinction of 'Best Song' is the chart-topping track 'Crazy', by Gnarls Barkley and, until now, it is the favorite.
But the top prize of the ceremony that is to take place on September 20 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, is certainly the winning of the 'Best Group Award', disputed between The Black Eyed Peas, Gnarls Barkley, Outkast, The Pussycat Dolls and The Streets.
This year's edition includes new categories, such as 'Best UK Female', 'Best UK Female', 'Best International Male' and 'Best International Female'. Beyonce Knowles is currently in negotiations to perform live on stage during the awards ceremony.
