14 DAY TRIAL // If they’re really having marital issues, Beyonce and Jay Z aren’t about to come out saying it just like that. Just a couple of days after hinting at possible trouble in paradise by changing the words to a song about cheating in concert, she’s letting her fans know that everything is right in the world. Well, in her world at least.
The photo above was taken at the Kara Walker exhibit at the Domino Sugar Factory in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and posted to Beyonce’s official website. It shows the singer, her husband Jay, and their daughter Blue Ivy getting their fix of culture and art, but not few are the voices saying that this isn’t just an “innocent” photo.
This is smart photo op, it’s the perfect family portrait and, as such, it’s meant to shut all those haters up and, hopefully, to make the cheating / divorce rumors go away once and for all.
Because they always share only a very small slice of their personal life with the media and that too is done in a very controlled fashion, these two have been plagued by all kinds of rumors since day 1, one of them more ridiculous than the others.
However, it was never as bad as it is now. In May, a video from a surveillance camera in an elevator leaked online, showing what went down after a MET Gala 2014 party where Solange Knowles, Beyonce’s sister, allegedly had one glass too many.
Shocked fans got to see a very furious Solange attack Jay Z repeatedly, punch him and kick him, and hit him with her purse, which she eventually tossed at his head. Meanwhile, Beyonce was looking on, barely moving a finger to stop the fight.
The conclusion in the blogosphere was one: Jay had cheated on Bey and Solange found out about it and didn’t waste a second to give him a piece of her mind – and a taste of her fist and leg and purse too.
Since then, despite the statement from camp Beyonce that said that all “families have problems” and hers was no different, the tabloids have been having a field day with speculation on what goes on behind closed doors with these two.
Strangely, the other day, when Beyonce got up on stage and changed the lyrics of the song “Resentment” to make it sound as if she was singing about her own relationship with Jay, and as if she was owning up to the fans to his cheating, she actually refueled these rumors.
Considering how guarded she is about her personal life, chances are Beyonce would never speak out on her problems like this. But she is a very savvy businesswoman so she must be aware of the attention she’s getting, and she just used the rumor mill (which will continue to spin whether she gets involved or not) to promote herself.
This new photo is her way of winking at fans and letting them know that all is well, truly.
