14 DAY TRIAL // It's the Kim Kardashian selfie photoshopping scandal all over again. This time it's not Kim, who has in the meantime learned to better cover up her modifications and she's even putting out a book of selfies; it's Beyonce who, perfect as she may be, does resort to the same tricks to look better in photos on the internet.
The photo that sparked the scandal was posted on Beyonce's Instagram account, presumably by her (though it's more likely that the account is handled by a PR firm), and it showed the singer lounging in some exotic location.
The 32-year-old, who has had her share of scandal due to all the divorce rumors that have been chasing her these past weeks, can be seen in a photo with a straw hat and beach glasses, while sitting comfortably at a cafe table with a glass of water in front of her.
Since it's been posted, the photo was liked many times, but some eagle-eyed fans have spotted some disturbing oddities in the snap. First of all, Beyonce's glass seems by be warped in a strange, asymmetric manner, indicating that the shape of Beyonce's legs was altered after the photo was taken.
It may be that the glass was indeed a strange shape and that Beyonce's legs really look like that. That is a viable possibility. But there's another piece of evidence that supports the warping theory, and that the shape of Beyonce's phone on the bale in front of her.
The phone happens to be one of the more popular models, the iPhone, and fans were quick to point out that the phone appears to be curved and that there isn't such a model in production. It could be that Beyonce is famous enough for Apple to make a curved iPhone just for her, but it's more likely that Beyonce photoshopped her photo.
Now you might be wondering why a celebrity like Beyonce, who manages to look flawless on stage, would want to alter the shape of certain bits of her body. The answer to that question is the same as for every other person on the internet who resorts to the same method: because she wants to look good.
This is not the first time Beyonce has been accused of playing visual tricks on her fans. Back in April, Beyonce was accused again of using Photoshop to alter her frame. In a photo that showed her golfing in a bathing suit, Beyonce seemed to have unusually thin legs, which even sported a thigh gap.
Anyone who's seen Beyonce, will tell you that there's no way Beyonce would even have a thigh gap, no matter how much weight she lost. Maybe next time she can employ someone with better photoshopping skills.
