Beyoncé and Jay-Z Married?

We've been waiting for a major celebrity secret marriage rumor like this one for a long time - but is was sure worth it! It's not often that we get to speculate on whether two A-list singers (who have also been dating for about four years) have tied the knot or not - in other words, it's not often that we have good reason to speculate that two celebrities the likes of Beyoncé Knowles and Jay-Z have actually said their "I do's" and are now officially man and wife. I mean, don't get me wrong, I think these two are a match made in (R&B) heaven: they're both talented and famous, not to mention the fact that they share a love for the opulent and have similarly pretentious and expensive tastes. But they've been together for so long, I honestly thought Jay-Z was never going to pop the question.

I must give these two props: for two entertainers who love to show off their musical prowess, who live for public exposure (I must confess I believe Beyoncé at least is more than a little narcissistic - like most of the stage divas out there), Beyoncé and her equally famous boyfriend sure have kept their relationship out of the public eye. We definitely haven't been seeing them "singing" their love for each other in full view of the media and they've been as discreet as possible about anything and everything that tied them together. But when you're Beyoncé and Jay-Z, you definitely can't conceal your antics forever - especially when it comes to a possible marriage.

So, here's how things are: rumor has it that Jay-Z proposed to Beyoncé while the two were enjoying a holiday in Cannes at the end of last May, and allegedly married in Paris in a private ceremony, and chose to tattoo some personal inscriptions on their ring fingers instead of wearing wedding rings. "They didn't want all the attention that usually follows them around, they just wanted it to be intimate and romantic. It was lovely and they are both blissfully happy. They thought the tattoos would be a lovely personal touch" says a source close to the two.

The only thing that makes me doubt this rumor is that I always imagined Beyoncé to be the "big white (or any other color) wedding" type. In previous statements she always made it clear she wanted to get married and start a family, so for some reason I imagined she'd like to start family life with a bang. "I want to get married and I really want a family. In a perfect world I'd have two boys and a girl" she once stated. Well, maybe her dream is already under way. And with the pregnancy epidemics currently sweeping through Hollywood, I wouldn't be surprised if it all happened sooner than we imagine.
