Beyonc� Will Release a Country Album?

Now that would be something worth watching...

Now this is definitely one strange piece of news. The bootilicious, armpit-flashing R&B beauty is reportedly keen to release a country album and thus turn her hand to a little bit of experimenting. The singer is shedding her R&B roots to experiment with a new sound following the success of her live reworked performance of "Irreplaceable" with country band Sugarland in Los Angeles last weekend. Well, if I were to be really mean just about now, I'd probably tell you that in fact it's not just her adventurous spirit that is driving Beyonc� to change music styles - it's also the fact that her latest album didn't sell as well as expected.

Now that would really worry me too, if I were her. But really, doesn't it feel like a bit of a stretch to go from booty-shaking R&B to country? Isn't it a bit tame for Beyonc�? Well, it would seem that the answer is "No". "Beyonc� wants to try something completely different. She is a big fan of country music and thought that would be an interesting and exciting way to go. She tested the waters at the American Music Awards last weekend and she is up for it". Yes, and she is also a great fan of winning loads of money. I'm sure they wanted to say that too, but it just slipped their mind.

Beyonc� is apparently keen to team up with award-winning singer-songwriter Amanda Ghost on the new tracks. The pair have already enjoyed chart success together, since Amanda wrote "Beautiful Liar", which was the song Beyonc� and Shakira recorded earlier this year, and also wrote James Blunt's famous hit single "You're Beautiful". "Beyonc� contacted Amanda early this week and she is going over to work with her on it. She is very excited. Country is still hugely popular in the States. Combined with Beyonc�'s popularity, this could be absolutely huge". Huge money, that is. Will that mean she'll stop flashing her armpits and shaking her booty? 'Cause that would be a great loss though. Hope not. Stay tuned and we'll keep you posted.
