Betty White has just turned 91, and few can argue against the fact that one of her birthday presents was simply the best a person could ever hope for: a red-tailed boa constrictor.

Apparently, the snake and Betty first met when the latter agreed to appear in a music video which benefited the Los Angeles Zoo and Botanical Gardens, Ecorazzi reports.

To celebrate Betty White's birthday, the Lifeline Program decided to adopt the snake in the celebrity’s name. Needless to say, Betty was quite excited about this rather peculiar gift.

As reported yesterday, this funny lady also hopes that, in honor of her birthday, fans worldwide will agree to lend her a helping hand in raising money for the Morris Animal Foundation.

“Animals are near and dear to my heart, and I’ve devoted my life to trying to improve their lives,” the celebrity confessed.
