14 DAY TRIAL // At the beginning of the week, Bette Midler did an interview with The Telegraph, in which she talked about her new album which she's promoting in the United Kingdom as well. And since she was on the matter, she also talked about today's pop scene. She didn't have very nice things to say about Ariana Grande.
The actress and singer said that Ariana had a very high voice that was “annoying” and that her image was too raunchy, trying too hard to sell her body as much as her singing to the public. Personally, Bette admitted that she was not a fan and slammed the singer hard.

Yesterday, Ariana Grande decided to hit back, but she didn't go all out on Bette, knowing that she might stir up something she could never control and she decided to hit back in a passive-aggressive manner. She opened up on social media and said that she missed the old Bette Midler, the feminist who was able to do everything she wanted, the one who broke all the rules.
Then, to top things off, Ariana also posted a vintage photo of Bette posing in a revealing bikini, as a final slap on the face for the actress, to show that she too was using her body to promote herself in her younger days.

It wasn't long before Bette saw the error of her ways and took back every mean thing she said about Ariana. On her Twitter account, Bette admitted that Ariana had in fact a beautiful voice and called herself a “reformed old [expletive].”
Ariana had mentioned to her fans that she would always be a fan of Bette Midler, “no matter what” and that she would always continue to quote from “First Wives Club,” one of Bette's most known and appreciated comedies.
“About my screed on @ArianaGrande, all I can say is, ‘Spoken like a reformed old [expletive]! She does have a beautiful voice, on a couch or off,’” Midler concluded.
This feud looks to be over before it even started, and it was all because Ariana had the guts to confront Bette Midler where many other young artists would have chosen to shut up and take it on the chin. But Ariana's feisty nature (let's not forget all the diva rumors that surround her) has led to a quick victory on her part and a retraction from Bette, who is now regretting going up against the “Problem” singer.
Other celebrities had now better think twice before taking on Ariana, who has just put the legendary Bette Milder in her place with a tweet and a photo and basically crushed her with her love.
