Kim’s vapid messages have never sounded more meaningful

Kim Kardashian is very active on social media, even though she rarely has something truly important to say. No matter if she’s just tweeting about feeling fat and thinking of going on a diet, or posting photos of her adorable daughter North, she always makes headlines for it.

Whether we like it or not, Kim Kardashian has plenty of pull online, and whatever she posts there will be dissected, discussed, enjoyed and shared by her millions of fans.

That doesn’t change the fact that most of her tweets are silly and devoid of meaning, the kind of stuff a teenage girl would tell a friend in a private conversation, and not post online for the entire world to see.

Bette Midler stopped by Jimmy Kimmel the other night and agreed to breathe new life into her tweets by singing them out live. You can see video of this below.

Two things happened when the always-amazing Mrs. Midler did this: number one, with her flawless delivery, she managed to highlight just how shallow Kim’s tweets are; and number two, she paradoxically made them sound less so.

Apparently, anything sounds better if sung in Bette’s gorgeous voice. By the way, Kimmel said in his introduction that she has a chicken named after Kim Kardashian: anyone else out there wants this to be true as badly as me?
