Each time Prey 2 seeks to disappear from the news someone mentions the much troubled project. This time, Bethesda is keen to talk about it and assure players that the game will still be released, even if in a very different form than the one initially announced.

Pete Hines, the vice president in charge of marketing and PR, tells Rock, Paper, Shotgun that “The Human Head Prey 2 thing is the Human Head Prey 2 thing. Arkane is over here, and they’re doing their thing, and that’s for them to work on.”

Apparently, Bethesda will have more information on the Arkane project soon, including an official announcement.

On the other hand, Prey 2 needs a lot more work before it will be shown to the public once more.

The game’s development was put on hold because Bethesda was worried about the quality level of the experience that Human Head was creating.
