The former incarnation of the game did not offer enough quality

Pete Hines, one of the vice presidents of publisher Bethesda, says that most of the information that was offered about the relationship between Human Head and his own company has come from just one of the involved parties and included a lot of spin.

The executive tells IGN that, “I like a lot of the folks up there. It just has to do more with what the product looks like and if it’s good enough.”

Prey 2 is currently in a state of limbo after Human Head and Bethesda have parted ways.

Hines once again said that the version of the game that he saw did not offer the quality required from a modern AAA launch.

Rumors suggest that a full reboot of Prey 2 is being created by Arkane, the studio that delivered Dishonored last year.
