Over-the-top action soon to arrive

Bethesda is one of the biggest emerging publishers of video games. While at the beginning it focused almost only on titles that were made by its own studio, like The Elder Scrolls series, now it is slowly starting to form partnerships with independent companies, or even acquiring them, as in the case of id Software.

One of the upcoming games set to be published by the company is the Arfiticial Mind and Movement-developed WET action game. Set to deliver a highly stylized mix of both action gameplay and acrobatic moves, from the game's main protagonist, Rubi Malone, it is a very interesting new property.

Now, the game has also received a concrete release date from the two companies, thus Europeans will be getting their hands on the title on September 18. Coming for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, it will make the day of a lot of gamers, as the great blend of dual pistols and a samurai sword will guarantee some pretty bloody scenes.

“We are extremely excited to bring WET to gamers on September 18th,” said Vlatko Andonov, president of Bethesda Softworks. “A2M has created an explosive gaming experience and the action is non-stop from start to finish.”

“We’ve worked really hard to make WET different from any other action game available,” said Patrick Fortier, creative director at A2M. “When players experience the game’s unique blend of gunplay, sword combat and acrobatics, they won’t want to put the controller down.”

Overall, WET will certainly be something to look forward to as it will be part of the kickoff of new games coming this fall season. But until then, we still need to fill our time with other titles and make it through the drought in gaming brought by this summer.
