Beth Chapman, wife of Dog the Bounty Hunter, usually lets her husband bask in the spotlight but, this time, it’s her name that’s making headlines. During a recent family fishing trip in Colorado, she yelled and swore at a teen, so she’s now pretty much a wanted woman in the eyes of the law.

TMZ has learned that the whole thing started when a car packed with teens drove by the place where the Chapmans were fishing.

Beth got understandably upset and started berating them – one of the girls in particular, the e-zine says.

She also let her temper get the best of her and started calling the teen names, all of which we can’t reproduce here in writing but have a lot to do with one’s willingness to bed strangers, often in return of money and/or favors.

“The situation escalated and Beth called 911, claiming one of the people in the party she confronted was ominously carrying a gun with his hand on the grip,” TMZ says.

“By the time cops arrived, Beth and her brood had split. But the teen filed a criminal harassment complaint. Under Colorado law, if someone taunts, challenges or uses ‘coarse language’ against someone, it's a crime,” says the same media outlet.

The names Beth called the teen certainly qualify.

“So cops issued a summons for Beth to appear in court on the misdemeanor harassment charge. Law enforcement tells TMZ... they called her on her cell several times to come down to the station to pick up the summons, but she blew them off,” TMZ further reports.

It was then that police issued an arrest warrant.

Attorneys for Beth later contacted the police to say that she’d be happy to oblige the summons and show up in court, and that the warrant wasn’t necessary.

So far, no word if she actually did.
