Tenderfoot Games has launched the beta version of its Wild West Online: Gunfighter game, also playable on Apple's standard web browser (on Leopard-running machines), Safari. As you might have already guessed, you'll be stepping into the shoes of a gunslinger of the 19th Century American West, engaging in duels, building up rep and acquiring items and skills that improve your gun-fighting abilities.

Wild West Online: Gunfighter offers players the option to hone their skills against human or computer-based opponents, Tenderfoot Games assures gamers. The feature-rich, 3D environment game can be played right from a web browser while players don't have to worry about system hiccups, the developer explains.

As a gamer (but not only), you must have wasted a few nights playing a game that has enthralled you. Well, according to Ariel Butler, Executive Producer for Tenderfoot Games, you might just find yourself doing the same thing with Wild West Online: Gunfighter.

"Wild West Online: Gunfighter is not just a quick-draw test of reflexes," says Ariel Butler, Executive Producer for Tenderfoot Games. "The outcome of gun battles hinges on players' tactical decisions, actions, and their appetite for risk leading to the decisive moment." Butler added, "Wild West Online: Gunfighter is a game that's easy to learn but has a lot of depth.
