The 1,000,000 quid console...

Since the Nintendo Wii seems to be surpassed by the PS3 in the sales department, it should become cheaper in order to stimulate demand... or maybe not, since there's a major shortage of such gaming devices, specially in the UK. The console seems to have become as rare as a pink diamond, since one eBayer decided to put his Wii up for auction for no less than 1,000,000 quid.

Don't worry, as the gaming device is bundled with 3 games, but the downside of this offers is that you'll be spending 10 quid on the delivery. This auction lasts till November 27, so you should sell your Ferrari and diamond-encrusted Xbox 360 and go buy a REAL console. We'd like to meet the man who's making the offer in order to find out what's the purpose of the entire deal.

Sadly enough (for him), nobody's bidding for the item, which, re-sold would buy a mighty good third world country football team. This goes to show that people can sell just about anything on eBay and I was thinking about putting my Nintendo GameBoy up for auction, for a mere 20,000 quid. Come on, it's 18 years old and it's still kicking! How's that for a bargain? If we'll ever get to buy consoles at such prices, we might as well trade gold and diamonds for them or turn gaming devices into currency.

That way, there will be no more wars over petrol, as all important states will be rushing to get the latest DS and increase their economy tenfold. Come to think about it, the Wii shortage might lead to price speculation, specially from the people who already own such a device and are ready to offer it bundled with some new titles. Care to bid 1 million pounds instead?
