MySpace is one of the top players when it comes to social networking websites, its developers aiming to try anything they can to make their product the leader of the competition. The most recent plans concern a new pack of MySpace websites which are supposed to be compatible with the mobile devices and allow the registered users to access the pages from any location.

So far, nothing new but it seems like the MySpace mobile pages will be ad-based which means all the mobile users will see a couple of adverts depending on the content they visit. According to NewsFactor, Fox Interactive Media, MySpace's owner, signed a deal with Millennial Media, a mobile advertising company, which will support the social network in displaying adverts to the mobile visitors.

This announcement comes after more than a month since MySpace confirmed a partnership with Rogers Wireless, a Canadian wireless voice and data communications service provider, to provide mobile access to MySpace only for its customers.

"It's our goal to offer our users the ability to connect to their MySpace friends in any country, at anytime, anywhere. We're thrilled to partner with Rogers Wireless in our efforts to further on-the-go connectivity across Canada. We're seeing incredible uptake worldwide for MySpace Mobile initiatives and we're excited to bring this functionality to our MySpace Canada community," said at that time Travis Katz, SVP and General Manager of MySpace International.

Most of the Internet giants are now aiming to evolve into the mobile market because the consumers are willing to access their favorite technologies from any location using their mobile phone. That's why it is very important to create mobile product which provide on-the-go access for all handheld owners. Being one of the top players in the social networks battle, MySpace might record some unexpected results since a lot of users are already lured by the mobile flavor of the service.
