Other devices will also see price cuts at the retailer

Starting with Sunday, mobile phone users in the United States will be able to purchase Apple’s iPhone for $50 (around €38) less when grabbing it through Best Buy, it seems.

The retailer is said to plan a four-week promotion for the device, offering users the possibility to enjoy its features for less than before.

According to a recent article on AllThingsD, the deal will include three different iPhone models, namely the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S and iPhone 5.

To benefit from the reduced price tag, however, users will have to sign up for a two-year contract agreement with one of three major wireless carriers in the country, namely AT&T, Sprint or Verizon.

The iPhone is said to be only one of the smartphones to see a price cut at the retailer, as the company is planning a series of shorter-term promotions over Memorial Day.

Starting with May 26, for example, users will be able to grab the Galaxy S 4 with a contract with AT&T or Sprint at only $49, though the deal will last only until June 1.

Additionally, the HTC Droid DNA for Verizon is available for a similar price tag, while the HTC One X on AT&T can be purchased for free.

For those out of the loop, we should note that users interested in taking advantage of the offering will save $50 (€38) when purchasing the Galaxy S 4, $150 (116) on the DROID DNA, or $100 (€77) on the HTC One X.

The promotion should determine some more users to choose these smartphones, especially now that most wireless carriers in the United States have the high-end Galaxy S 4 available for their customers.

As AllThingsD also notes, while discounts on the iPhone are fairly rare, they usually emerge before new models are arriving on the market. Stay tuned for more info on this.
