Expected to be generally available on February 10th, Verizon's iPhone 4 has just been confirmed at Best Buy for the same period. However, even though Verizon and Best Buy are planning to launch the device available at the same time, existing Verizon customers can pre-order the iPhone 4 starting tomorrow February 3rd.

[ADMARk=1]Furthermore, the pre-order period will end in about a week, on February 10th, when both companies will make the iPhone 4 available through their online stores and retail locations.

According to Apple, the company set aside a limited quantity of iPhone 4 models for existing Verizon customers to pre-order from the Apple Online Store with free delivery on or before February 10th.

Starting on February 9th, any customer, Verizon subscriber or not, will be able to order the iPhone 4, but shipping will start only on the 10th.

Reserves are also available starting February 9th, but customers will only be able to pick up their iPhone 4 device from Apple Retail Stores only the next day.

In addition, Apple will also be retailing the iPhone 4 through its online portal and all local stores across the country.

In a statement issued today, Shawn Score, president of Best Buy Mobile, said:

The iPhone 4 is an important device for Best Buy and we are excited to help Apple and Verizon Wireless bring it to even more consumers.”

Our customers have come to expect Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile stores to carry the best selection of mobile phones anywhere, and offering the iPhone 4 on Verizon’s network is our latest effort to deliver on that promise,” continued Score.

This definitely puts an end to AT&T's dominance over the iPhone, which was the sole carrier appointed by Apple to distribute its flagship smartphone in the US for almost 4 years.

Best Buy will be offering the iPhone 4 at the same price, so customers will have to pay $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB model with a new or qualified upgrade with two-year agreement.
