December has in store some special offers for mobile phone users, one of which comes from Best Buy Mobile, which has just announced that it plans on offering free smartphones to its customers each day of the month.

The new campaign includes the availability of at least four free smartphones, one for each of the largest wireless carriers in the US, for every day in December.

According to the company, these devices would be available in all Best Buy stores and in all Best Buy Mobile specialty stores, as well as online via the retailer's website here.

The new promotion builds on the success the company's latest similar campaign, which ran throughout October, and which included free phones for each Friday of that month.

The new promotion, however, will bring even more free smartphones into users' hands, Best Buy announced.

Examples of devices that would be featured in the promotion include: Droid Incredible by HTC (Verizon), Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 (AT&T), LG Optimus S (Sprint), or LG Optimus T (T-Mobile).

“We were excited by the amount of consumer interest we received around our 'Free Phone Fridays' promotion in October, so we wanted to do it again only bigger,” said Shawn Score, president of Best Buy Mobile.

“People want smart phones and we couldn't think of a better way to end the year for our customers than to offer free devices every day in December.”

It should be noted that the purchase of a free smartphone through this promotion at Best Buy would require for users to sign in for a two-year contract agreement with the respective wireless carrier.

Here's what Best Buy notes on this: “The free phones require new or upgrade activation with two-year agreement and minimum quantities will vary by store. There are no price matches and the offer is not valid on prior purchases.”
