U.S. retailer Best Buy is offering $200/€153 gift cards in a trade-in program for iPads. You can use the card in-store to grab other Apple goods, such as a Retina-enabled version.

Trade in your “working” iPad 2 or iPad (3rd generation), and Best Buy says you can use the 200 bucks they pay you for it “toward the purchase of an iPad with Retina display. Starting at $299.99 [€230] after trade-in.”

According to the terms and conditions of the deal, this is an in-store offer only valid between 7/12/13–7/13/13. They don’t accept first-generation iPads and iPad minis, and trade-in value may vary depending on the state of your tablet.

The terms state loud and clear that “Device[s] with cracked screens or water damage are not considered working for purposes of this offer.”

They also tell you to remove any personal data from the tablet before providing the product for evaluation, and you will be required to agree to the Terms & Conditions of the deal.
