Wireless carrier Cricket, a wholly owned subsidiary of Leap Wireless International, Inc., has announced recently that its Cricket PAYGo products are available for purchase at select Best Buy Mobile locations starting with Sunday, September 27, 2009. According to the carrier, both its handsets and its plans are available for customers through the retailer.

Cricket PAYGo, in case some of you might not know already, offers unlimited wireless services for price tags of $1, $2 or $3 per day, while the carrier's monthly Cricket PAYGo service plans start at $40 and $45 per month. At the same time, the operator has also announced that the new offering is available for users without a signed contract or credit check and provides them with unlimited talk, access to Cricket's premium extended coverage area, domestic and international text messaging, and picture messaging.

In addition, the company has also stated that the $45 plan comes with all the features of the $40 plan, to which unlimited mobile Web and 411 directory assistance are added. “The new nationwide service plans are inclusive of all telecom taxes and fees and include voicemail, call waiting, caller ID and three-way calling over Cricket's 3G EVDO network. Cricket PAYGo top-up cards will be also available at select Best Buy Mobile locations,” the carrier added.

Moreover, it seems that Best Buy Mobile will not sell only the Cricket PAYGo phones and plans, but compatible accessories as well. According to the wireless operator, Best Buy Mobile employees have been already trained to offer customers the necessary assistance when it comes to activating their phones with Walk Out Working.

“We are very pleased to bring our unique Cricket products to Best Buy Mobile, one of the most trusted names in national retail,” said Al Moschner, Cricket's chief operating officer. “The inclusion of our products in more than 400 Best Buy Mobile locations nationwide allows new customers to be introduced to Cricket products that have industry-leading price and value and are simple to understand and use.”

Best Buy Mobile will have three popular Cricket phones available for users, including the Samsung Messager II (sliding QWERTY keyboard, 2.0-megapixel camera with video recording, microSD slot, music player, stereo Bluetooth), priced at $149.99, the Samsung MyShot II (flip phone, 1.3-megapixel camera, music player, microSD slot), which goes for $89.99, and the Cricket CAPTR (flip phone with VGA camera, Bluetooth and mobile Web), which is priced at $49.99.
