4th of July may be all about the food, family and fireworks, but when it comes to having fun, your iOS device can help.

There are 87 "4th of July"-themed apps in the AppStore just for iPhone and 60 more for your iPad and the most expensive one is just $3.99. Some of the most downloaded ones are games: "Tri Peaks 4th of July", "4th of July Living Jigsaw Puzzles", "All-American Video Poker" or "Ace Bingo 4th of July" are just a few of them.

Another generous category is the Fireworks apps. You will not be able to light the real fireworks on fire, but you can see some nice videos or play with some good looking fireworks that pop and crack just like the real ones. You can download "Fun Fireworks", "Fireworks party", "Real Fireworks Artwork Visualizer" and "Musical Fireworks" for iPhone right now.

If you're not doing anything special this weekend, but you wanna make the most of it, you can always have fun withe some free or heavily discounted games.

All Infinity Blade Games, for example are cheaper for 4th of July. The original "Infinity Blade" has been discounted to 99 cents from 6 bucks. "Infinity Blade II" is $.99 right now and the 3rd part of the Game Saga is just $2.99.

Apple has just posted a new Category - "Discover America". There are six main types of apps in this collection raging from zero to $19.99.

"Celebrate the 4th" gives you some reference, travel and entertainment apps which provide useful info on this great Celebration. "US Constitution", "Constitution and Federalist Papers", "History Here Travel" and "GrillTime" are among those apps that will help you understand the American Way.

If you want to visit the United States of America, make sure you install at least one of the following apps from the "Book your trip" list: Airbnb, Dwllable, HomeAway & Vacation, Hipmunk, Kayak or DogVacay.

When you get your feet on the ground you have to travel and make sure you know where to go to maximize your time. Apps like Gogobot, Yelp, Tripshare and City Maps 2Go are on the "See the Sights" list.

Sure you need a car to get anywhere faster so this next section is just for you. GasBuddy, Amtrak, Hertz, Uber and Lyft are your best friends in the "Get Around" area.

The AppStore goes on promoting "The Great Outdoors" with apps like "National Parks", "Recreation.gov", "Sky Guide" or "Camp & RV".

And last but not least, you have to capture those beautiful moments. New or free apps like Fly, Day One, Momento, Everest or Yonder are going to help you take photos and videos and write down all those nice details from your trip to the USA.
