The American businessman, and former chairman of the NASDAQ stock exchange who, on March 12, 2009, admitted to perpetuating the largest investor fraud ever committed by a single person, has been confirmed as a MacBook Pro user.

Surely, those affected by the Ponzi scheme Mr. Madoff used to steal their money could give a damn, but the picture snapped by ABC seems to incite fans of the notebook.

Inside Palm Beach: Brian Ross Investigates the Secret World of Madoff

Far away from Palm Beach misery and the town's swaying palm trees and manicured golf greens, an ABC News stake out found Madoff surfing the internet in his designer-decorated den inside his multi-million Manhattan penthouse. While many of his victims are facing foreclosure, financial ruin and even suicide, Bernie Madoff is still living a life of luxury.

This is what ABC reported after Mr. Madoff was put under 24-hour house arrest as part of his bail agreement. Mr. Madoff was ordered to remain at his apartment on East 64th Street in Manhattan. He wore an electronic monitor and was to be allowed to leave his apartment only for scheduled court appearances.

However, on Thursday, Bernard L. Madoff entered a federal courtroom in Manhattan to admit that he had run a vast Ponzi scheme robbing thousands of investors of their life savings. Elegantly dressed as ever, Madoff wore no wedding ring - “only the shadowy imprint remained of one he has worn for nearly 50 years,” the New York Times reports.

Softpedia note

Don't think that just because you own a MacBook you're probably clever enough to run a Ponzi scheme. This article has a purely informational purpose and doesn't, in any way, suggest that MacBook / MacBook Pro owners are superior to PC users. Well... not from this point of view, anyway.
