The fact that Arsenal will not be playing on Highbury stadium anymore is already known by most of the English fans. The last match there was played in the Champions League semifinals, against Spanish side Villareal. Since then, most of the Arsenal fans have had the chance to buy their seats on Highbury with 20-30 euros apiece. And there is no turning back for the "gunners".

Their new stadium, where the Arsenal officials hope to build up a team of champions for the future, will have a greater number of seats - approximately
60.000 seats - and was carefully built so it can meet the higher standards possible. The Emirates Stadium will be the place where Arsenal will begin their quest for a Premiership title and their first Champions League trophy in history.

The first match that Arsenal will play on the Emirates Stadium is going to be a truly special one. Dennis Bergkamp will retire from international football and it should be a hell of a testimonial for the Dutchman. This way, his final steps on the football field will mean Arsenal's first on the new arena. And it will happen this weekend, on Saturday afternoon.

The stadium cost the "gunners" about 566 million euros and has been finalized about a month ago. As for changing their home field from now on, Coach Arsene Wenger stated that he is very excited and he can barely wait to coach his team on the new pitch.

"Everyone at the club has worked really hard on the stadium project and has done so well in getting it ready on time. We are delighted that the stadium has reached practical completion and are really looking forward to what we hope will be a very successful first season and future at our new home. It is a fitting tribute that the first match at Emirates Stadium and a new chapter in the club's history gets under way with a match in honor of a true Arsenal legend, Dennis Bergkamp", stated Wenger.
