The offer of electronic systems aimed at cars is likely to diversify once the computer car is introduced. The Taiwanese producer BenQ has begun testing the solutions which could be included in car systems, but no official announcement has been made yet. Fitting the vehicle with a LCD screen for displaying the navigation system has almost become a standard, and an increasing number of car owners are interested in fitting them with high-end multimedia devices. Considering these criteria, the potential of such car system is high enough to exit the designing stage and enter mass production.

The tuning of a car's interior is already a thousands of dollars investment, and the inclusion of LCD panels, DVD systems and gaming consoles is a "must have" for the cars that want to stand out from the crowd.

More news in this field is expected at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) event, scheduled to take place in Las Vegas on January 2006, hosting an entire section aimed at electronic products for cars.
