The tigers are named Saber and Janda, appear to be quite tame

A 57-year-old woman living in Orlando, Florida, in the United States, shares her home with a pair of overgrown cats, of which one weighs an impressive 600 pounds (about 272 kilograms) and another 400 pounds (roughly 181 kilograms).

Mind you, the felines have not gotten this big because of some miraculous cat food that 57-year-old Janice Haley has made the mistake to include in their daily diet.

On the contrary, the cats' body weight is nothing to be concerned about when one takes into consideration the fact that the 600-pound and 400-pound felines are actually Bengal tigers.

According to Daily Mail, Janice Haley has been keeping tigers as pets for many years now. Thus, it was 20 years ago that she took a tiger training course, and 18 years ago that she brought home her first tiger, Chuffer.

In 2002, when Chuffer was still alive, the 57-year-old woman introduced it to a female by the name Janda, and, sometime after the passing of this first tiger, she got Saber, a male that now tips the scale at 600 pounds.

By the looks of it, Janice Haley is not in the least bit scared to play with Janda and Saber, pet them, and even let them lie beside her and put one paw over her shoulder every once in a while, the same source tells us.

On the contrary, she sees them as house pets and trusts that they would not do anything to harm her, not given the fact that she has been taking care of them since they were just cubs and relied on her for pretty much everything.

“They pretty much look at me as being their mother. As far as I’m concerned they are my big four-legged furry kids. We have a very special bond – they rub my face and let me kiss them on the nose, we can cuddle with them and hug them.”

“I don’t know of too many places where you can cuddle with a full grown tiger and we’ve been doing this with them for years,” the 57-year-old woman has told the press in a recent interview.

Presently, Janice gets help from husband David when it comes to looking after the unusual family pets. Thus, the two felines live in the couple's backyard in Florida, and Janice and David take turns feeding them and making sure that all their needs are properly dealt with.

Interestingly enough, Janice claims that Saber is so attached to her that it cannot go to sleep without sucking on her finger. Hopefully, Saber will stick to sucking and will not attempt something edgier such as chewing anytime soon.
