Taiwan's BenQ is expected to introduce a new 24-inch Full HD LCD monitor that will become available in Japan on November 1, this year. The company's M2400HD LCD has been built to deliver an extensive number of features in a 24-inch form factor and, to cap it all off, it is not even that expensive, coming with an approximate price tag of 420€.
While no one can say with certainty how many computer users out there are considering a possible acquisition of a 24-inch Full HD LCD screen, or even how many of them see a 24-inch monitor as a necessary upgrade to their computer systems, no matter their number, the M2400HD from BenQ should provide the expected visual experience. In addition, the soon to become available M2400HD also packs a few more extra features to sweeten the offer.
The new 24-inch Full HD LCD from BenQ sports a maximum resolution of 1920 by 1080 pixels, and delivers a brightness of 300cd/m2 with a contrast ratio of 1000:1. The monitor also has a 5ms response time, and comes with AMA (Advanced Motion Accelerator) and Senseye technologies to further enhance the visual experience.
Other features include a three-port USB hub that will allow computer users to easily connect whatever USB device they might require, and there's also a 2MP web camera. This feature is mostly found in portable computer systems but, in time, desktop displays have also come to adopt it. It allows users to connect to a video web conference easier, without the need to install an additional web camera.
The LCD also comes with HDMI, DVI-D and Mini D-sub interface and, as mentioned above, it will become available in early November for around 420€. However, since the company is yet to officially introduce the monitor, no one can say right now if it's going to become available only in a white color version.
